JM Outdoor Living is an integrated landscape and outdoor living design studio based in The Woodlands, Texas. We create outdoor environments planned with intention — spaces designed to function well, age gracefully, and support how people actually live, gather, and spend time outside.

For more than three decades, our work has centered on understanding landscapes as systems — not just how they look on day one, but how they perform over time. We believe the strongest outdoor spaces are not rushed or overdesigned. They are carefully planned, proportioned, and built to last.

The Studio

JM Outdoor Living was founded by Jeremy, a landscape designer with more than 30 years of experience shaping outdoor environments throughout the Houston region.

Jeremy’s early professional foundation was built at the Piney Woods Native Plant Center, where he developed a deep understanding of regional plant communities, native ecosystems, and site-sensitive landscape planning rooted in the soils and climate of Southeast Texas. That early experience continues to guide how projects are approached today — with respect for place, scale, and how landscapes mature over time.

Through his career, Jeremy has worked closely with custom home builders, residential developers, and architectural teams, contributing landscape and outdoor living designs that are thoughtfully aligned with the homes and sites they surround. Rather than treating outdoor spaces as an afterthought, each project is planned as an extension of the architecture itself.

Long-term collaboration with an architect further shaped this integrated perspective — reinforcing the importance of proportion, spatial flow, and the relationship between indoor and outdoor environments as a unified whole.
