The original outdoor kitchen and patio had been damaged by fire, leaving the homeowners with a space that needed more than cosmetic repairs. The existing layout also lacked a strong connection between the patio, pool, and surrounding backyard.
JM Outdoor Living approached the project as an opportunity to completely rethink the space rather than simply rebuild what had been there before.
The damaged structure was removed and rebuilt with a solid masonry foundation, new electrical components, cedar framing, and a custom outdoor kitchen. A cantilevered pergola now defines the living area while maintaining an open relationship with the pool and yard.
Stone veneer, granite countertops, stainless appliances, and warm cedar create a finished outdoor environment designed for cooking, entertaining, and everyday family use.
Rather than allowing the kitchen to remain an isolated feature on the pool deck, the new layout brings the major elements of the backyard together.
The cantilevered pergola establishes a strong architectural focal point without visually closing off the pool. The outdoor kitchen anchors the gathering area, while the rebuilt patio provides a more natural connection between cooking, seating, swimming, and the surrounding landscape.
The result is not simply a replacement for the damaged structure — it is a more functional and cohesive outdoor living space.
